Yep, that’s right, a Pomrita. It’s the special pomegranate margarita at Lime Cantina on Larimer Square, where I’ll be heading tonight.
Lime just launched a giving campaign for the holiday season with a private cocktail reception last night. And this charity campaign is very easy on the pocketbook. All through December, you can purchase a Lime ornament for $1 (see? totally affordable), and Lime will match your dollar towards not just one, but two organizations. For every ornament, they’ll donate a dollar each to Work Options for Women, and to the Colorado Restaurant Association’s Education Fund. You can decorate your ornament or personalize it with your name, and they’ll hang the ornaments around the cantina through New Year’s Day.
I had to miss the launch party last night, but Lime gets a fun groove going on Friday nights, so it’s on the radar for tonight. Their “Yeah, Baby” party each Friday offers $3 you-call-its (including the above-mentioned Pomrita) and retro grooves from the ’80s and ’90s by DJ Ben A, with Chi Chi keeping the beats going on the bongos.
Can ya drink to that? Gimme a “yeah, baby. ”
