Thursday nights have become Denver’s best time for freebies. Tomorrow night, there are four — count ’em, four — free concerts at different locations around the metro area.
- In Aurora, Lisa Bell and Cresendo will break out the jazzy motown and R&B moves at Meadowood Park (3054 S. Laredo St.) from 6:30 p.m to 8:30 p.m. as part of the Aurora Summer Concert Series.
- Englewood offers a similar program, the Sounds of Summer series, with North 40 performing country music starting at 7 p.m. at the Englewood City Center amphitheater.
- Hazel Miller performs at The Village at the Gordon Biersch Beer Garden at Flatiron Crossing from 6 to 9 p.m. for their Summer Nights concert series.
- Downtown at the Denver Pavilions, the Hot Sounds in the City series continues with the Johnny O Band at 5 p.m. and Strange Condition at 7 p.m.
These are all free, outdoor, family-friendly series, so there’s no excuse. Get out and support the local musicians who are performing for free and want nothing more than your appreciation.
