It’s Sunday. It’s the height of the holiday party season. You’re probably tired, and want nothing more than to kick your feet up and veg out on the boob tube for the evening.
But wait. Before you get too settled in, consider all of your options.
Tonight at Forest Room 5, the “Treyeline” event is one party that might be worth giving up your relaxing Sunday evening to attend.
Part trunk show, part film showcase, and party wine tasting, this artsy gathering kicks off with a $3 wine tasting from 5 – 7 p.m. There is no cover at all after 7 p.m., when local band Drop the Fear will show their new music video. At 8:45 (or thereabout), they’ll show Revolver Productions’ much-hyped latest film, “Colfax Avenue: Soul of a City.” And that’s just the early rounds.
Later, DJ’s Bomb Pop and Tom Hoch will spin up some groovin’ house music, and later still, Drop the Fear will perform a special acoustic set. And all the while, art and artsy objects created by Denver artists will be on display and for sale throughout the venue.
There’s a lot of talented folks here in D-town, so let’s rally tonight and show our support.
