They’ve been buzzing around town for ages now, causing a stir at every bar, club, and event they crashed. And now it’s time to see what the damage is. The Real World: Denver premieres on Wednesday night, and I’m told that the drama factor is one of the best (read: highest) in Real World history. We’ll see how the show portrays Denver, but since the cast managed to bar hop from sports bars (Lodo’s Bar and Grill) to chichi lounges (Hush, Jet) and night clubs (DC10, the now-defunct Evolution) it seems that they did a good job of making the rounds.
As for celebrations, Mynt (1424 Market St.) is hosting a Real World Viewing party — one of many, for sure — and then moving the party next door to Monarck for a pre-Thanksgiving bash. And on Friday, the big event hits Vinyl nightclub; the Real World launch party hosted by three of the cast members, Brooke, Alex, and Stephen. It’s a double feature that night, billed as the Best of Both Worlds party as Carmelo Anthony simultaneously celebrates the release of his new shoe, the Nike Jordan brand M3. Melo and many of his team mates — plus a slew of other celebs and athletes — will all join the VIP crowd as DJ Clinton Sparks mans the turntables for what is sure to be one of Denver’s best see-and-be-seen parties this year.
