That’s what your friends say when your love life has recently been nothing but crap, or you’ve decided to move on from Mr. or Ms. Not-Quite-Wonderful.
Sound familiar? (And I’m not being smug married gal here; believe me, we’ve all been there. Lots.)
Try this. The Loose Fish party, this Saturday night at the Supreme Court cafe and nightclub at the Adam’s Mark hotel. Now in it’s fifth year, organizers insist that everyone attending bring a friend (NOT a date) of the opposite sex. This friend cannot be one who has attended before. Obviously, it’s preferable to bring a single friend, but married couples with cool and available pals are encourage to join the fun. The idea is to make a huge, wide, deep sea of available fish.
For your $10 minimun donation (which goes to benefit The Gathering Place) you’ll get access to the appetizer bar, your first drink free, and $2 drafts and $2.50 wells and house wines until 10 p.m. After 9 p.m. the live rock band kicks in with dancing tunes, and you can get $2 parking with validation from the bash. Sound good? Head down Saturday night after 7 p.m.
Just don’t forget the bait.
