It’s the first week of the new year, and lots of folks are doing their best to help those in need. Head out on the town and do your part:
- Denver firefighters, Broncos cheerleaders, TV and radio hosts will all be stationed across town today at four Red Cross locations to accept donations in person from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Dazzle Jazz Club is hosting a fundraiser on Thursday night, (January 6) where 100 percent of the proceeds from the evening will go to UNICEF. Tickets are only $10, and they’ll also have items up for silent auction through January 13.
- Also on Thursday evening, the VIP reception after the screening of the film “Hotel Rwanda” will be held at the Denver Pavilions. Tax-deductible tickets are $150, with a goal to raise $20,000 for a shipment of medical supplies through Project C.U.R.E.
- The Wynkoop Brewery will donate 100 percent of their Thursday night proceeds from 6 – 8 p.m. to the American Red Cross, and all the monies raise will be matched.
