Tonight it’s all about the girls. I’m meeting with a group of about 10 friends this evening, which my pal Laura has dubbed the Denver Networking Queens. We’re very modest, of course. But between all of us we seem to have about two degrees of separation to half the city of Denver, so we’ll have lots of fun sharing any and all juicy tidbits of gossip over dinner downtown.
Later tonight, we’ll grab the late-night gals and hit Vinyl for the new monthly women’s networking party they’re calling “Hey, Chica!” It’s the first one so I’m not sure what to expect, but I did hear that the first 50 women get really good gift bags (makeup, spa certificates, etc.), and that’s all I needed to hear. As an added bonus, they’ll have free champagne and hors d’oeuvres from 9 until 11 p.m., no cover, and an “intuitive counselor” to help us deal with those pesky boy, family, financial, or other problems.
Sadly, though, I’ll have to curb my cocktailing and ditch out early tonight; rather than jumping in the cab with a couple of neighborhood gal pals, I’ll need to head home early and hit the sack at a decent hour. Tomorrow, I’m road-tripping it down to Santa Fe for a long, lazy weekend.
