A few months ago, I noted here that I’d heard that Hush pays pretty people to just hang out at the club on the weekends. Today, I received an e-mail from the owner, Michael Olsen, who wrote:

“The only pretty people I pay to come to Hush are the ones that I employ.”

Anyone else find that statement vague? I’m sure that he meant to deny the rumor, as he was irritated that I didn’t contact him before posting what I’d heard. Fair enough. But the woman who told me about it claimed to have firsthand knowledge otherwise. Of course, you can’t believe everything you hear. That’s why we call ’em rumors.
