‘Tis the season. For overspending, overeating, and overindulging. But it’s also the season to spread a little love and help worthy causes by donating time, money, or items for the needy. I’m a pet lover, and have one huge fluffy black cat and one extremely intelligent dog, both courtesy of the Denver Dumb Friends League. I also have a brand new addition, a tiny, scrawny kitten I named Lucy, a rescued barn cat. I will freely admit to being a complete and utter sucker for furballs, as are many of you, I’d bet. To help out our furry friends this holiday season, log on to the Pledges for Pets online auction to benefit the DDFL, where you can either bid on auction items or donate an item. The auction runs through January 30, but many of the items currently up for bids will be closing in time for holiday gift giving. Of course, you can always give the animals an even greater gift by providing a home for one of these many lovable dogs and cats.
