The Larimer Lounge wants to wish you happy holidays with a free show on Friday night.
Owner Scott Campbell has thrown a free holiday concert for the past few years now, and it’s become quite the gathering for Denver’s indie-rock fans. This year the lineup features alt-country crooners Munly and the Lee Lewis Harlots, plus Nightingale and Denver’s garage-pop darlings, the Hot IQ’s.
Munly takes the stage first, and Campbell is encouraging everyone to get there early in case they reach capacity and have to maintain the crowd size in the small venue. The show starts at 9 p.m., but earlybirds can hit the bar – and snag one of the few coveted seats – during the 4-8 p.m. “insane happy hour” with $1 PBR’s.
And if you haven’t been to the LL lately, you’ll be thrilled to hear that a quick remodel job has raised thet stage a good six inches (great news for us shorties) to allow for better sight lines.
