Proximity to RiNo’s Mission Ballroom gave Denver cocktail power couple Alex Jump and Stuart Jensen a foolproof theme when they opened their moody, ’70s-inspired Peach Crease Club across the plaza from the music venue late last year. High-end speakers, analog tube amplifiers, turntables, and an extensive vinyl and four-track tape collection keep heads bobbing, while carefully formulated, batched elixirs are never shaken—meaning the clatter of ice cubes rarely disrupts the mellow hum of music and conversation.
Don’t wait for the next show to pay the cheeky lounge a visit. The destination-worthy drinks—like the tangy, earthy Borscht, which stars beets, dill, and horseradish, or the fresh and vegetal Fattoush, which is akin to a crystal-clear Bloody Mary—are daring and delightful, with savory elements at the forefront. Meanwhile, the nutty, bittersweet Peanuts & Cola, a zero-proof, nitrogen-infused creation, will have Southerners smiling.
