The annual Denver Post report on executive pay in Colorado seems to always catch our attention. Last year, the Post reported the salaries of top executives in the Centennial State, on average, dipped 12.6 percent. This year, however, the Post reports average executive pay is up 49.7 percent over the previous year. (Nationally, according to the same report, CEO pay was up 9.7 percent for the year.) The Post indicates that the state’s top earner was Gregory Maffei, president and CEO of Liberty Media and Libery Interactive. According to the report, Maffaei was paid $57.2 million by Liberty Media, and $45.3 million by Liberty Interactive. Here, we break down the numbers.
