As January finally comes to a close, I can’t pretend I haven’t already been dreaming of my summer garden. Near my daily to-dos is a small, scribbled list of veggies I’d like to grow: “Carrots. Radishes? Squash!”
Denver Urban Gardens is planning ahead, as well, with its Free Seeds and Transplants Program, an initiative to help qualifying Denver residents take up gardening. Last year, DUG provided free seeds and plants to over 5,000 people.
The deadline to apply is February 1, so be sure to pick up your application soon. You can find them at over 35 locations around Denver or by calling 303-292-9900.
