In the latest report involving wild coyotes attacking residents along the Front Range, a Chihuahua was seized from the heavily-used Belleview Park trail south of Denver, near Pirates Cove water park, as the dog’s owner watched in dismay. The dog’s remains were later recovered by wildlife officials, who launched a search for the coyote, according to The Denver Post. There has been a string of recent attacks and sightings involving coyotes, and the Greenwood Village Police Department has responded by arming officers with paintball guns in hopes of instilling in the animals a fear of humans, ABC News reports.
