Moveable Feast, May 13 to May 15

In order to make some of the best dishes in Colorado, Fruition and Mercantile Dining & Provision owner Alex Seidel uses the highest quality ingredients he can find in the state. Learn about his process and technique in a small group culinary demonstration that features Friday night reception with the chef and a Saturday field trip to Fruition Farms Dairy and Creamery, where guests will sample Seidel’s line of sheep’s milk cheeses. Wolfpack Ninja Day, May 14

Families are invited to join the Wolfpack Ninjas—four American Ninja Warrior athletes that are also extreme rock climbers—for a full day of obstacle course fun. Three waves of competitors will try their hands (and feet) at conquering a youth or adult course (both of which increase in difficulty as you progress through them) throughout the day; the quickest contestants will receive prizes. Shirts, stickers, posters, and other Wolfpack-themed gear will be on sale, and the Ninjas will be available for photo ops and questions—like who’s going to take home the show’s trophy this year? Each dancer uses his or her own range of motion to complement the ensemble, creating a stunning group performance that redefines typical narratives of disability and art. Youth on Record Album Release Party, May 15

Denver’s very own school of rock is having a block party to celebrate its album release—and the city’s most promising young musicians need your support for their record to gain attention. This mini-festival features live performances by the music students featured on the album, Y.O.R. Sessions Vol. 1, as well as interactive studio jam sessions and poetry readings by local literary arts organization Minor Disturbance. At this weeklong symposium, attendees have a choice between a dip or a dive into the world of contemporary art.
