Don your best blue jeans and clock out early; America’s perennial blue collar hero is back on tour, and he’s got Denver dancing in the dark. The 66-year-old, 20-time Grammy Award–winning, New Jersey native and his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-inductee band will rock the Mile High City with a full-length performance of Springsteen’s legendary 1980 album,The River. This will be Springsteen’s last stop in Denver for a while (he’s recording a solo album after this tour), so catch the slice of rock ‘n’ roll Americana while you can. Nourishment, April 1-April 3

Falling in love is a difficult feeling to evoke in an audience, but that’s exactly what the creative minds behind this evening-long performance intend to do. Participants in the immersive experience will engage all five senses through a night of food, drink, live music, dance, and visual arts that will re-create and re-imagine the tastes, sounds, smells, and sights of the coup d’amour. The Denver Tool Library Turns One, April 1

Denver Tool Library (DTL) is a shared space for DIY-ers to pool together creative resources—tools, but also skills and space—to empower creative ventures in the Denver community. Come celebrate DTL’s first successful year of business at this homegrown party. Jive to live music from local rock outfits Strange American and Safe Boating is No Accident, plus Americana group Lee Avenue, on a stage designed by Boulder-based documentary production company Incite Productions. Then, snag a commemorative gift from poster illustrator and screen printer Arna Miller—founder of Treasure Prizes art company—who will create screen-printed shirts live for attendees. At this throwback throwdown, sample some of Denver’s best food truck offerings as you soak up live ’80s hits courtesy of local musicians El Paso Lasso and DJ E-Trane. While we can’t guarantee that the food will be served from the backs of DeLoreans (read: definitely not happening), attendees of the event will get the chance to taste test from almost a dozen trucks, including Crock Pot, Fat Green Bowl, Taste of the Philippines, Bared Wire Reef, Lena B Bar-B-Que, and AikoPops, with drinks from Dry Dock Brewing Company, C Squared Ciders and Molly’s Spirits.
