Buehler’s canvases burst with color, light, and movement—embodying the optimism of the season and showcasing a talent that belies the artist’s age. 5Point Adventure Film Festival, April 21-April 24

Already mapping out your summer summits? Find inspiration through the lens—and on the trails. This adventure-packed festival delivers four days of world premieres, including The Coldest Crossing, the story of the first people to try to cross Iceland unsupported in winter. Away from the screens, the gatherings continue with activities such as a Roaring Fork River cleanup, 555 (a beer-speaker pairing dinner), a rally with more than 35 tiny house–style vehicles, and a hike led by Dirtbag Diaries author Brendan Leonard. Chefs Up Front, April 24

At this feel-good charity dinner, try a new take on culinary pairing. Guests kick off the night with a cocktail hour that includes a charcuterie station, a raw oyster bar, and signature libations concocted by eight of Denver’s finest bartenders. Attendees can rank their top three choices from a list of more than 30 of Denver’s most renowned chefs (including Darrel Truett of Barolo Grill and the Populist’s Jonathan Power), and will be paired with a chef for the seated dinner portion of the evening based on these preferences. After enjoying a luxurious four-course meal, diners close the evening with desserts from Food Network celebrity chef Keegan Gerhard and his team. Colorado Symphony Ball, April 23

A traditional battle of the bands would feature exclusively rock ’n’ roll groups—but this extravaganza adds symphonic music to the mix. Denver’s premier orchestra takes on rock bands Tracksuit Wedding and DaVita Blues All Stars in this epic musical competition, during which attendees will text their votes in real time (each vote costs $1). Game of Thrones Viewing Party, April 24
