Secretary of State Gigi Dennis announced today that 10 counties in Colorado will be required to conduct a manual hand count of ballots from the elections earlier this month. According to the Secretary of State, one system for tabulating votes may have been inaccurate.
The recount is not expected to change the results of Referenda C&D, but it could take awhile to complete. Bent County and Huerfano County are among those required to do a hand count, which is problematic because nobody knows where Bent and Huerfano counties are.
