July 11 and 12 The RIDE Festival
Telluride’s Town Park welcomes bands such as Widespread Panic, Gov’t Mule, Moon Taxi, and North Mississippi Allstars to this popular music festival, now in its fourth year.

Established in the 1940s, Golden’s Buffalo Bill celebration now includes music, mutton’ bustin’ (of course), a classic car show, parade, and golf tournament.
July 31 and August 1 Devil’s Thumb Ranch Alpenglow Zipline Tours
Devil’s Thumb Ranch and Spa, near Winter Park, offers a unique chance to zipline by moonlight this month with its Alpenglow tours. You’ll ride down five lines, one of them 1,600 feet long, and be rewarded with post-zip drinks.
August 2 Red Bull Rise
Aspen Mountain introduces a 12-hour endurance race that climbs 3,000 vertical feet in three miles. The runner who completes the most laps in 12 hours takes home the title and a $1,250 check (race pays through fifth place). Everyone else earns a sense of accomplishment.
