Due to sudden personnel turnover (a situation in which former employees have voiced their dissent), the Hotel Boulderado has pushed the opening date for License No. 1 to May 20. The date was rescheduled to accommodate the training of new management and staff. According to Stefanie Jones, the hotel’s publicist, multiple changes occurred in the bar’s staff—including the resignation of bar manager Mike Larkin—after the hotel revamped what used to be the Catacombs Bar.
Jaci Aragon, a Boulder local, is currently slated as the new bar manager. Her responsibilities include debuting the new concept and participating in the training of the new team—several of which are returning staff members who were invited to reapply for positions.
