As many as 1,000 Katrina victims could begin arriving at Lowry as soon as tomorrow.
Five hundred dorm rooms on the base have been set aside for evacuees and will house two people per unit. The rooms, equipped with bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchens, are managed by the Colorado Community College System and are normally used to house students and Americorps workers.
