The latest poll from Rasmussen shows what most pundits have predicted: If ballots were cast today, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper would likely be Colorado’s next governor. The Democrat continues to lead the governor’s race with a commanding 40 percent of the vote, according to Talking Points Memo. Republican Dan Maes holds about 32 percent of the vote, and support for former Republican Tom Tancredo, who is running with the American Constitution Party, is fading, at nine percent in the poll.

What’s “intriguing,” writes The Washington Times, is the rise in the number of people who say they are undecided. About 20 percent of voters are still mulling over the candidates, up from five percent in an earlier poll.

Moreover, 24 percent of Republicans can’t decide which candidate they’ll support, adds The Huffington Post.

Meanwhile, Rasmussen also finds that Republican Ken Buck holds a 47 to 44 percent lead over Democrat Michael Bennet in the race for U.S. Senate, a figure within the margin of error and therefore a toss-up, notes The Colorado Independent.
