In Greg Skufca’s world, Old World flavor doesn’t arrive in an imported bottle of boutique wine; it’s contained in a jar of pickles—Trü Pickles, to be exact. These crunchy, slightly spicy delicacies are made from the canning recipe Skufca’s great grandmother brought with her when she came to the New World.
As an avid gardener and canner, Skufca, who has been a businessman for the past 25 years, was captivated by his grandmother’s vinegary mix, which adds grape leaves to a heady mixture of garlic, peppers, salt, and dill seed. With Trü Pickles, Skufca shares his passion for the delicious, crispy condiments that have long shaped his taste buds.
