An all-star lineup of Colorado greats will headline today’s live stream benefit concert, Colorado Gives Back, which will run on YouTube from 1–4 p.m. All funds raised will go to the Colorado Restaurant Association and MusiCares, which support the Centennial State restaurant industry and the national music community, respectively.
Viewers can tune in to listen to music from the Lumineers, OneRepublic, Jewel, Nathaniel Rateliff, Todd Park Mohr of Big Head Todd and the Monsters, and other local artists, all playing on the stage at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
The show will also feature videos from a bevy of special guests. Participating athletes include the Broncos former star quarterback Peyton Manning; two-time Olympic gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin; and Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackon, among others. Colorado chefs and restaurateurs taking part include Bobby Stuckey of Frasca Food and Wine, Jennifer Jasinski of Rioja, Alon Shaya of Safta, and Carrie Baird of Rose’s Classic Americana.
The concert aims to raise awareness about the thousands of workers in both the live music and hospitality industries who are without employment and resources due to COVID-19 related shutdowns. Viewer donations will be directed to the Colorado Restaurant Association and the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences’ MusiCares, which has a partnership with the Spotify COVID-19 Music Relief Project. Spotify will match all donations to MusiCares up to a total of $10 million.
