Festivus, the satirical holiday made famous on Seinfeld, started 50 years ago this month. One of Festivus’ more eccentric rites is the Airing of Grievances, in which you tell your loved ones all the ways they have disappointed you over the past year. So to celebrate Festivus’ golden anniversary, we asked 5280 staff and readers to explain just how Colorado let them down in 2016.

“A Train grievance: Why can’t you buy the ticket on the train? There’s WiFi and people to take money! “

“Traffic. #firstworldproblems”

“The male:female ratio sucks for Gen X straight men entering the dating scene in Denver.”

“It’s better, but it’s still wayyy too difficult to find decent food after 10 p.m. in this town.”

“I’m all for veterans having access to quality health care, but a $1.7 billion hospital seems a little excessive.”

“Does anyone else think the public-health campaign to let people know marijuana contains THC is stupid? Of course, there’s THC in there. In fact, that’s exactly why I’m buying it.”

“So sick of the I-25/Santa Fe Drive/Sixth Avenue clusterf$*k.”

“Anyone else tired of hearing about rising rental rates and real estate costs in Denver?”

“Bicyclists who ride on streets or sidewalks even when there is a bike lane RIGHT THERE.”

“I just want Tom’s Home Cookin’ back.”

“Amendment 64 is a constant disappointment. People are sparking up in their cars while driving. It’s embarrassing as well as illegal and makes Denver and Colorado look like crap.”

“We will build a wall. And Kansas is gonna pay for it. #StopPeopleFromMovingHere”
