Bridget Rogers is obsessed with dinner parties. “I’ve been hosting them since I was in high school,” says the owner of Cloth + Gold, a decor-delivery service here in Denver. “I have always loved pulling together a party—and I’ve had so many friends say to me, ‘I wish I could pull this off.’”

Yet, planning and hosting the perfect soirée is time-consuming, expensive, and downright daunting—challenges that Rogers knows well: “Sometimes I would rent dishes and glassware from big rental shops, but the pick-up and delivery fees were always $200,” she says.

So Rogers took a cue from Rent the Runway, a rental source for designer fashion, and devised a system for delivering the key ingredients for a beautiful party directly to customers’ doorsteps. For $18 a person (including delivery) Cloth + Gold offers an assortment of seasonal tablescapes (for parties of four to 40 people) that include flatware, dishes, glassware, a table runner, linens, and accessories. Rogers also throws in a seasonal menu card with tasty recipes to serve; floral inspiration (or delivery options from Flower Bombers); signature cocktail suggestions; and even a Spotify playlist to set the mood. Everything gets delivered the day before the party and, the morning after, customers simply pack it all up (dirty dishes and all) and place it on the porch for pickup.

“I wanted to take as much thinking out of the process as possible,” Rogers says. “When you host a party, you don’t want to be running around like a lunatic. It’s supposed to be fun.”

Cloth + Gold’s assortment of 14 versatile tablescapes includes some evergreen favorites (we love the soft and pretty “Dollface” for a brunch or shower), as well as seasonally inspired offerings. Below, Rogers tells us about two of her favorite settings created especially for fall.

The Look: Moody Blue

The Inspiration: “I love the color blue,” Rogers says of the gauze table runner (an Etsy find) that set the stage for this ensemble. “And it pairs so well with gold flatware.” This modern take on fall décor looks great with white pumpkins and candles galore.
The Party: This setting creates an elegant yet cozy ambiance for gatherings large and small, but we love how the tapered candles look in a long row down a rectangular table.

The Look: Harvest Moon

The Inspiration: A traditional harvest feast. “I love the buffalo-plaid table runner because it allows you to bring in that Thanksgiving vibe without overdoing it,” Rogers says. Add your own style with pumpkins, faux leaves, or even a cornucopia—the included tealight candles in amber glass holders will cast a warm glow across the whole tableau.
The Party: Definitely Thanksgiving.
