The small but strong Negroni, which consists of equal parts gin, Vermouth and Campari, is an excellent aperitif before dinner—but perhaps not a drink usually consumed in quantity. Nay, says Green Russell, who has created the world’s largest Negroni in anticipation for Negroni Week (happening countrywide June 1-7). More than two hundred bottles of equal parts gin, sweet vermouth and Campari were poured into the barrel, resulting in 53.5 gallons and more 2,000 servings of the cocktail.

Snag a taste of the record-breaking Negroni at Green Russell’s tapping party on Monday, June 1. Get two drinks and appetizers for the $10 admission fee, all of which will be donated to Brent’s Place, a local nonprofit that works with kids that have been diagnosed with cancer. Frasca Food & Wine and Pizzeria Locale will both be offering a variation on the Negroni during the week, and $1 of each cocktail will be donated to Nepal earthquake relief.
