As if you needed another reason to indulge in a splash (or two) of whiskey, today marks the beginning of Colorado Whiskey Week. Drink up, do some good, and enjoy a vast array of specialty whiskey at this week’s festivities, presented by Drizly in collaboration with Colorado distilleries:
Wednesday, May 13: Trumaker and Drizly’s Do Good Look Good Whiskey Tasting Clothing Drive at Society Sports and Spirits
Do good and drink good—er, well—at Society Sports and Spirits (1434 Blake St.). Bring unwanted clothing to donate to Denver Rescue Mission and receive a $10 credit at Trumaker for each article donated. And stick around for $10 whiskey flights with pours of Downslope Distilling Double Diamond Whiskey, Laws Whiskey, and Breckenridge bourbon.
Friday, May 15: The Second Annual Whiskey & Doughnut Throwdown, 6–9 p.m.
The Second Annual Whiskey & Doughnut Throwdown pairs samples of Colorado whiskey with doughnut bites from LaMar’s, Glazed and Confuzed, and Voodoo. Part of the ticket proceeds go to Minds Matter, a nonprofit benefitting low-income students across the country. Get your tickets here and indulge that sweet tooth. Then rinse (with whiskey) and repeat.
Saturday, May 16: International Whiskey Tasting at Argyll, 6–8 p.m.
Skip the airfare and head to Argyll for tastes of whiskey from around the globe. Nine whiskeys will be available for blind sampling, along with appetizers. Whiskey brands will be revealed at the end of the evening. Snag your tickets here, the event is capped at 45 guests.
