Earlier this year, some Boulder High School students walked into a bathroom stall marked with the words “KKK is back. All blacks will die Friday April 16.” Yesterday morning, a new round of threats appeared at the school, which is on alert with extra security as Boulder police investigate, reports The Denver Post.
The latest writings also appeared on bathroom stalls, with one author indicating a desire to bring a gun to school to kill everyone. Another singled out Latinos, writes Boulder’s Daily Camera, although the paper has not published the specific language that was used. Principal Kevin Braney says the school will re-open on Friday, but “it will probably look different.” Boulder High faculty members and the Unity Council, which was created after similar racist activity reared up on campus last year, are strategizing ways to support Latino students.
