Buying American is a mantra these days—at least, it’s hard to argue that we shouldn’t be looking for that “Made in the USA” label. If you’re lucky, you’ll find a few items here, a few there. But it’s not that easy to stock homegrown duds. Eli Cox was tired of searching, so he opened Berkeley Supply last December as a one-stop shop for U.S.-made clothing and accessories for men.
The cozy spot sells a mix of local brands (Topo Designs’ functional gear bags and handmade denim by White Horse Trading Company) and major lines such as boots by Wolverine 1000 Mile, handmade leather accessories by Tanner Goods, and clothing from Imogene + Willie.
Berkeley’s first fall season (pieces start arriving in August) showcases cool-guy items such as wool-lined snow boots by Red Wing and a tailored version of Filson’s popular Mackinaw Wool Cruiser coat. Patriotic shopping has never been easier. 4405 W. 43rd Ave., 720-445-6818, berkeleysupply.com
