The summer heat provides yet another reason to visit Uptown’s Vine Street Pub: the seasonal Arctic Wheat, which gives a satisfying shiver with its light, herbal flavor without being overly filling (it is still swimsuit season). The beer’s minty chill keeps me comfortable while hanging on the front patio or playing summer games like cornhole on the standing-only back patio.
But what really keeps me coming back are the prices: $4.50 for a pint or $12.50 for a pitcher of the handcrafted brew. Better yet, in November, Vine Street will open a new brewery behind the restaurant, which means, you guessed it, more beers.
