The “It” Factor for Denver: Anna Sui’s collections are always upbeat and colorful, with her spring show serving up a fun mix of circus, stripe, plaid, and paisley prints.
Although Denver girls may not wear this bold combination the way Sui brought it together on her runway, any of her well-cut blazers, cool vests, and terrific summer dresses will provide just the right wardrobe boost.
The Gist of the Show: Always a mix-and-match pattern extravaganza at the house of Anna Sui, this season the recent Council of Fashion Designers of America Lifetime Achievement award winner’s trademark look is spot on-trend.
Taking a visit to the Big Top, Sui amps up her look to include a ringmaster jacket with circus-print balloon skirt; a mod, checked jacket and miniskirt suit with Peter Pan collar shirt and paisley-print tie; and three-piece plaid suits, including a trim jacket, vest, print shirt and tie, and cropped pants.
For die-hard Sui fans, of course there are her signature peasant blouses, shift dresses, and killer cutout cowboy boots.
