Brunch-ers, rejoice! As of 6:30 a.m. tomorrow morning (May 2), Snooze’s ninth Colorado location—its 25th nationwide—will be open for pancake-and-egg-slinging business.
Housed in the building previously home to Woody Creek Bakery & Cafe on South Syracuse Street, the new outpost is bright and beautifully lit by three walls of floor-to-ceiling windows. Snooze’s signature orange, yellow, and green hues run rampant throughout the space, lending it a thoroughly cheerful vibe. But perhaps the best seats in the house are actually outside the house, on the tree-lined, umbrella-covered patio.
Snooze DTC held three friends-and-family events over the weekend to practice service in their new digs, but also to raise funds for area non-profits, as they do with every new opening. The $12,784 raised will benefit three worthy Colorado organizations: the Cherry Creek High School garden program, with the goal of increasing production so summer produce can go to area food banks; Developmental Pathways, which supports and serves local individuals with developmental disabilities/delays and their families; and Friends First, a non-profit that pairs high school mentors with middle school mentees as part of a program that aims to teach teens about healthy relationships and positive life choices.
As general manager Kelli Kudrick put it, “We don’t open in a community, we open with a community.” DTC neighbors, that’s your signal to get in line.
