Spring44—named after the fresh mountain spring at 9,044 feet that co-founder Jeff Lindauer had visited since childhood—makes vodkas, gins, and whiskeys with the same pure, Coloradan water. Look forward to springtime weather with this sweet, bourbon-based recipe from the distillers.
You’ll need:
2 ounces Spring44 Single Barrel Bourbon
1 whole strawberry (reserve one slice for garnish)
3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice, plus one lemon wheel slice
1/2 ounce honey syrup
1/2 ounce Zucca Amaro Liqueur
1 ounce ginger beer
Directions:
Quarter the strawberry, muddle, and then add all ingredients—except the ginger beer—to a mixing glass. Fill with ice and shake. Strain into a Collins glass filled with ice cubes. Top with ginger beer, and garnish with a lemon wheel and strawberry slice.
