Sen. Ken Salazar appeared on a show called “Your Show.” A viewer asked when the troops would be coming home from Iraq.
“I think there’s a coming together, an understanding that there needs to be a drawdown from Iraq, but that it’s not going to be precipitous,” said Salazar on the program which poses viewer questions of Colorado newsmakers. “We’re not going to be out of there a year. It’s going to take a couple of years to get out of there and salvage some stability in Iraq.”

He also said that some troops could start coming home by Christmas and that we would see some “drawdown” by spring.
