There may not be Olympic games this summer, but that’s not stopping Denver from starting the season early with an international sports competition. The two-week Churchill Cup rugby showdown began Saturday, with teams from England, Canada, Argentina, Georgia, Ireland, and the United States coming together to try to outrun, out-tackle, and outscore each other.
But last weekend was only the beginning. This Wednesday Ireland will take on Canada and Argentina challenges the United States. And Sunday, June 14, the United States, England, Ireland, and Georgia play again to determine the rankings before before the Cup finals at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on June 21.
