Last night, the Rockies did something to the San Francisco Giants’ Randy Johnson that hasn’t been done in nearly three years: They kept him from striking out any of their hitters. The Rockies also managed to shell the Big Unit for seven runs and eight hits after five innings at Coors Field, part of a 11-1 victory (via The Denver Post).
The Rockies have an 11-15 record, the victims of spotty pitching and sporadic offense. But last night proved that when it all comes together, the Rockies have promise.
