Tomorrow marks one year since the Aurora Theater Shooting—a tragedy that sent a wave of grief, shock, and horror through the nation, and particularly, Colorado. If there was ever a good thing to come out of something so deeply saddening, it would be the reminder of our remarkable resililence and support for one another as a community. This weekend is a time to gather together and remember those we lost.
Here a couple ways you can honor the vicitms this weekend:
The No More Names Rally in Aurora: Stand side by with families and friends who have lost loved ones to gun violence. Friday, July 19
7/20 Recovery Committee: This community resource was a direct response to the Aurora Theater Shooting. The organization focuses on spreading awareness of signs of trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder, in efforts to provide support to those who suffer. Saturday, July 20
A Night to Remember: Copper Kettle Brewing Co. will host an all day event on Saturday to honor the victims, and particularly, their friend and regular Alex Teves. Saturday, July 20
