Labor Day weekend can make a dent in the wallet, so I set out to find a fun, free way to spend a lazy Sunday. Luckily, there’s also a new “stimulus package” that turns this outing into an affordable weekend date.
First, let’s talk grub. The Tavern—which has locations uptown and downtown, as well as in Lowry, Wash Park, and the Tech Center—is offering a new set of specials they’ve deemed a “stimulus package.” All day Sunday, food specials are offered, including $1 sliders, $.50 wings, and $10 large pizzas. Plus, get Bud and Bud Light drafts for just $3.
This Sunday is also a free day at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Be sure to check out Expedition Health. This highly interactive exhibit about the human body typically requires advanced reservations, so get there early to get your free timed ticket.
