Every year, on the last Sunday in July, the town of Fairplay, CO hosts Burro Days–a festival of assorted animal races, craft shows and entertainment which marked it’s 60th anniversary this past Sunday. Getting there is half the fun. The 90-minute drive from Denver up Hwy 285 over Kenosha Pass and into the South Park basin is arguably one of the most scenic in Colorado.
