The 5280 Guide to Colorado’s 2020 Election

It’s been a year unlike any other, and it’s about to get crazier still—the 2020 election is right around the corner. This fall, Coloradans will cast their ballots on everything from the president and one of Colorado’s U.S. Senate seats to a vast array of statewide and local initiatives and a handful of races in between. The decisions voters make will alter Colorado—and the nation—for years to come, so don’t sit this one out. Get registered, fill out your ballot, drop it off or mail it back, or show up to cast your vote in person. It’s easy, it’s important, and it’s your civic duty.
Dates to know:
October 9: Ballots are mailed
October 19: Early voting begins; all drop boxes must be open (Find where to drop off your ballot or vote in person)
October 26: Registration deadline to receive a ballot by mail; last day to mail your ballot back
November 3: Election Day (Note: You can register and cast your vote at a polling place up until Election Day)
