The recent dark skies and unpredictable storms haven’t stopped us from playing outdoors, as seen in this photo (taken on Sunday before a sudden hailstorm halted the game). But Wash Park’s newly enacted, refundable fee for volleyball permits might be a bigger problem for the crowds than storm clouds. Last weekend, the popular park was less crowded than usual, but City Park, notably, had plenty of nets, parties, and grills.
