Canstruction: A can of beans is more than just sustenance—it’s a feast for your eyes at this charity event. Local architecture, engineer, construction, and design companies will team up to build life-size structures made entirely of canned foods to raise awareness for the hunger issue. When the exhibit ends, the Canstructions will be stored at Food Bank of the Rockies. Sat, 10 a.m-5 p.m, History Colorado Center
Drive for the Kids: Get behind the wheel and in line to support the Children’s Hospital Sports Program for kids with physical disabilities in this weekend’s driving tour. Drivers will meet at the Buffalo Restaurant and Bar in Idaho Springs for brunch before hitting the road to view Colorado’s fall colors, and eventually end up in Denver after a pitstop at Evergreen’s Hiwan Homestead Museum. The day ends with dessert, an open bar, and a live auction at the Tech Center Hilton. Sat, 10 a.m., Buffalo Restaurant and Bar, Idaho Springs
PH in the Park: Support those affected by Pulmonary Hypertension at this fundraiser. You can run a 5K, or simply enjoy the silent auction, kids area, and post-event expo. Not quite sure what PH is? That’s okay: There will be education sessions informing you on everything about the debilitating disease. Sun, 9 a.m., City Park
