The gala will feature entertainment by Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Troupe and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, along with a keynote speech from president of Washington State University, Dr. Elson S. Floyd. Denver Gorilla Run: Halloween will have come and passed, but you can still dress up as a gorilla for this 5K fun run for a cause. Benefiting the Mountain Gorilla Conservation Fund, every participant receives a Gorilla suit to keep even after the day’s events are over. But don’t be shy about making the suit your own—there will be a contest awarding the most creative costume. Once you’ve crossed the finish line, head over to the Great Silverback after party or spend the rest of the day at the Denver Zoo, where entry is free with run registration. Sun 9 a.m.; City Park, 17th Ave. and Colorado Blvd.
