It’s the first official week of summer, which means it’s time to get out and about in the city. Here, three ways to fill this week’s long days of sunshine.
Ride it out: Celebrate Denver’s vibrant cycling culture by riding to the sixth annual Bike From Work Bash for a true cyclist’s happy hour. The bash will benefit Wish For Wheels—an organization that works to provide new bikes and helmets to elementary school kids. Wed, 5-8 p.m.; 15th St. & Little Raven St.
That's only $1 per issue!
Drop your drawers: Strip down to your skivvies and lace up your shoes to raise awareness for colon cancer at the Denver Undy 5000 5k Run. Instead of your typical race-day shirts, registered participants of this family-friendly event take home a commemorative pair of Undy 5000 boxers. Sat, 9 a.m.; Denver City Park
Scavenge the city: Navigate your way through Denver with pets and friends during the Battle of the Breeds Scavenger Hunt (don’t miss free brews at the after party). The event benefits LoveAnimals.org, a crowdfunding site that pairs people with animal-focused nonprofits and events. Sun, 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m.; 14th St. and Wewatta St.
