League of Extraordinary Women – Denver Meet Up
This group of entrepreneurs from across the pond is hosting an event in the Mile High City to bring together strong, ambitious women. Sheryl Thai, the founder and co-owner of online cupcake store Cupcake Central, will speak. Ticket proceeds will go to Project Gen Z, a program that extends educational aid to students in Cambodia. American Diabetes ASSN Classic 5K
Lace up, get moving, and run your heart out—while combating diabetes. Wheat Ridge Dream Dinners’ Colorado’s First Fight Against Hunger Event
Setting your alarm on a Saturday has never meant so much. Early risers will come together to assemble 50,000 hearty and nutritious meals for the hungry. The meals are baked with love and assembled to reverse the effects of starvation. While some of the meals will feed the hungry right here at home, the majority of the meals will be sent to Haiti. Don’t forget your beach ball when you attend this summer-fun-filled event. Clothing brand Belong Designs is sponsoring an evening of food trucks, family, a full bar, and friends, plus a charity cornhole tournament that will support the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk. This Muslim community group is sponsoring an evening with esteemed poet and writer, Michael Wolfe, who’s written several books about Islam including “The Hadj.” Proceeds for the evening will benefit the Ansar Pantry, a food pantry that serves the homeless in the Aurora area without consideration of race, religion, gender, orientation, or legal status.
