Re:Cover Nepal Launch Party: After devastating earthquakes hit Nepal in April and May, local designer and philanthropist Lindsey Kruger launched this initiative, which aims to rebuild 100 homes in the country while teaching locals how to make their homes more structurally sound for future quakes. Santa Shop: Gather up the little ones’ abandoned toys and help stock this holiday gift shop. The Action Center, a Jefferson County agency that works to help people achieve self-sufficiency, is accepting donations for its annual Santa Shop, a free-of-charge pop-up where Action Center clients can shop for holiday presents. Last year, the center collected about 24,000 toys that went to 4,000 children. Consider donating a few high-demand toys, like remote-controlled cars, stuffed animals, helmets, or a few Frozen, Toy Story, and Minion items. Adopt a Family, Teen, or Senior Holiday Gift Drive: GIVE Denver, which provides additional support to kids and families receiving assistance from Denver Human Services, is launching its annual Adopt-A-Family holiday drive. Gather a few friends or co-workers and adopt a foster family, foster child, or senior, then go pick out the perfect presents with their personalized wish list. Last year, the drive gave presents to 330 families, 84 teens, and 112 seniors—that’s a lot of holiday cheer. Ongoing; GIVE Denver, 1200 Federal Blvd.
