YogAdoptables: Forget downward dog–this yoga class is all about cats. Hope Is Brewing: The Denver task force of the international human rights organization Love146 presents Hope Is Brewing, an evening of fun to support their mission to end child trafficking and exploitation. Hope Tank & Backpacks with a Purpose: May is National Foster Care Month, and Hope Tank, a local store that donates a portion of the sales of its handmade goods to charity, has teamed up with Backpacks with a Purpose to donate packs to children in need. For every backpack purchased, two will be donated to one of three Hope Tank partner organizations in the Denver area: Beyond the Walls at Shiloh House, Urban Peak, and Youth On Record. Volunteer at Food Bank of the Rockies with Project Helping: Help tackle hunger alongside like-minded individuals with Project Helping, an organization that promotes volunteering for mental wellness. Volunteers are needed to help organize food for delivery to underserved parts of the community, to folks who may not have access to transportation to their local food bank. Hops of Hope: What’s better than a beer-themed festival that benefits children’s education? Diebolt, Mockery, Zephyr, Ratio, Fermaentra, LowDown, and Deep Draft breweries will compete for your vote in an attendee-judged blind taste test. The day-long event will also feature a corn hole tournament, food from Gusto’s Kitchen, and Mile High Cajun food trucks, and live music. Proceeds benefit Children’s Future International‘s Fun Season program in Battambang, Cambodia, which facilitates enrichment and leadership activities for students during their summer break.
