Tenge Law Food Drive for the Food Bank of Larimer County: Hunger is a hidden epidemic around Larimer County, and those suffering may surprise you. Fourteen percent of Larimer County residents live at or below the Federal Poverty guideline and 33 percent of the county’s children receive free or reduced meals at school. Tenge Law Firm LLC and the Food Bank of Larimer County are joining forces for a food drive to benefit locals in need. Even the smallest donations of canned, dried, preserved, and non-perishable foods are welcome, and will help provide community members food on a day-to-day basis. Girls Inc. of Metro Denver Women+Film Event: Suffragette: As a participant of this year’s Denver Film Society’s Women+Film Festival, Girls Inc. of Metro Denver is screening the hit drama, Suffragette. This powerful film follows the early efforts of women as they fought for gender equality. Girls Inc. chose this film becuase it features strong females leads and is aligned with their mission to help young people find their voice and their passion. The film festival runs Tuesday through Sunday, with the Suffragette screening as a separate ticketed event on Wednesday, featuring a mix and mingle with Girls Inc. members, staff, and supporters.
