Diplomas & Dreams Tour: Take just an hour out of your day to learn about Denver Kids, an organization that supports Denver Public School students who face personal challenges in higher risk environments. Many of the Denver Kids graduates are the first in their family to finish high school, and 85 percent pursue post-secondary education or a career-readiness program. Fifth Annual Dolls for Daughters and Kenzi’s Kidz Invitational Scramble: Grab your clubs, soak up the summer sunshine, and help Colorado children in need at this annual golf tournament. Proceeds will benefit Dolls for Daughters and Kenzi’s Kidz. Dolls for Daughters has provided more than 20,000 toys to Colorado children since it launched in 2007, and Kenzi’s Kidz provides school supplies, clothing, extracurricular activities, and birthday and holiday gifts for a year to children in low-income families. Breckenridge Brewery’s Hootenanny: Jam and imbibe at Breckinridge Brewery’s annual Hootenanny, an annual party that will celebrate the brewery’s 25th anniversary and the grand opening of its new 12-acre brewing campus. Tickets include beer, food from the annual pig roast, and music—with Colorado’s “polyethnic Cajun slamgrass” band Leftover Salmon as a headliner. Proceeds will benefit Colorado-based Conscious Alliance, a non-profit that fights hunger across the nation through grassroots food collection and hunger awareness programs. Donor Dash 5K: Walk, run, or volunteer at this annual event by the Donor Alliance designed to honor the lives of organ and tissue donors, celebrate the lives of recipients, and recognize those who await transplants.
